Is my entry kept confidential?

Absolutely. Your intellectual property is paramount to a successful idea, and your idea will be assessed by a inhouse Creative HQ team. All confidentiality and IP protection throughout the Innovation Challenge is in keeping with standard practice for Lightning Lab .

If I don’t make a finalist in the Innovation Challenge can I still apply for Lightning Lab Electric?

Yes you can. Applications for LL Electric are assessed separately, through a different process. You can read more or apply now on the LL Electric page.

Can I get mentoring about how to develop my idea?

Come along to the roadshow or sign up for one of the Innovation Challenge webinars to get help with your entry.

What is an ‘electricity sector’ innovation?

Check out the Challenge Tracks to see more, but if your idea, technology, business or product involves electricity use, transmission, management or generation you can enter the Innovation Challenge. Check out the tracks here.

Does my entry have to be a real product? Do I have to produce a prototype?

No it doesn’t. Your entry should however address how it would become a real product. There’s more detail in the Assessment Criteria in the Challenge Pack. Register here to get one.

WHAT's the difference between the innovation challenge and the accelerator?
